Caerphilly, Wales, Britain
Wales features a great many castles. This is Caerphilly, the
largest, built in the 13th Century by an English baron.
All castles in Wales now fly the Welsh red dragon flag, no
matter their origin. This inner sanctum has a famous
leaning tower on the left, despite several restorations.
Caerphilly's profile and very large moat. This castle was
so formidable in its day as to preclude ever being attacked.
All my Caerphilly pictures are of the exterior. With
Welsh castles later on I have interior photography.
