Yellowstone's Thermal Springs
Wyoming, USA
The Blue Star Spring, one of Yellowstone's many colorful and
attractive thermal springs or pools.  These generally are very
clear, showing off their colors like peacocks.
Many shades of lovely blue and green
looking down into the Morning Glory Pool.
The Heart Spring, perhaps named by a doctor.  I suppose it
does resemble a human heart in its shape and the appearance
of two chambers.  The springs were both striking and easy to
photograph.  They reflect sunlight into all of these different
green and blue shadings.
Here I was attempting to photograph something else, a
thermal lake covered in steam.  By Yellowstone standards,
this isn't very attractive.  But the sudden flash of lightning
gave me a special picture by sheer luck.
