The Waipio Valley
Big Island of Hawaii, U.S.A.
The highway conclusively ends at this green cliff, which
means I have reached the Waipio Valley, a famous Hawaii
spot for getting away from normal urban living.
Not a crowded neighborhood here in the Waipio Valley, and
the residents can grow their own food. Plenty of space, since
the valley is six miles long.
No lack of scenery, including a distant waterfall. From the
Big Island of Hawaii, it was off to my second stop: Maui.
The Waipio Valley is so huge that I managed to get this
decent picture of it from the air. When flying between the
islands of Hawaii, a window seat has real advantages.
