Mykonos
Greek Islands Cruise
No trip to Greece is complete without seeing some
of the islands. I ended up on a real cruise ship, the
Triton. It was a wonderful four day cruise.
First stop was the Island of Mykonos (Mikonos), best
known for its windmills such as the one above. I landed
on Mykonos and took a great harbor photo of its white
buildings, which you can see by clicking Here .
The famous Mykonos windmills look impressive from
any angle. I was surprised to discover that none of
them appeared to work anymore, except when it
came to attracting tourists.
The windmills keep each other company on
Mykanos. Here is a matched pair.
A trio of Mykanos windmills. Smaller versions are sold on
the island as souvenirs. The next page will leave windmills
behind to highlight other photogenic Mykanos structures.
